With more than six years of classroom experience, she has taught American History and American Government at both the middle and high school levels, and AP World History.

In addition to her work in the classroom, she spent 10 years coaching competitive swimming, serving as head coach for both middle school and varsity swim teams for six of those years.

Currently, she is continuing her certification in the Orton-Gillingham Approach. She also serves as the Literacy Program Director for Appleton Episcopal Ministries in downtown Macon, where she has continued to foster partnerships with Bibb County schools and administrators. She passionately believes that every child is filled with limitless potential and deserves a learning environment that challenges them to grow, inspires them to excel, and surrounds them with unwavering love and support.

In her free time, she enjoys trail/road running, hiking, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
