On Nov. 11, 2024, Roberts Academy hosted its inaugural Veterans Day Breakfast With the Brave Veterans Day Celebration. More than a dozen Veterans were in attendance, including 98-year-old Ralph Harris Stokes – who served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
During the Academy’s morning meeting, students, faculty, and staff gathered in the cafeteria to honor the veterans in our school community. The celebration began with a recognition of each veteran in attendance, followed by a student performance of “The Brave,” a song written by John Riggio. Students and veterans then enjoyed a delicious breakfast while completing an American flag craft activity, creating a memorable morning for all.
We’d like to thank the parents who donated food and decor for our breakfast, as well as Macon Bagels for their generous donation of 3 dozen bagels.
