Boost Reading Confidence This Summer!

Give your child the confidence to read at Roberts Academy’s Literacy Quest Academic Summer Camp.

Literacy Quest is designed for rising 2nd-6th graders who need extra support in reading, phonics, spelling, writing, and math.

Literacy Quest provides a fun and enriching environment where children build confidence, strengthen their reading skills, and enjoy engaging activities that make learning exciting.
This reading camp uses the proven Orton-Gillingham Approach – a multi-sensory way of teaching – to strengthen literacy skills in a fun and supportive setting.

Required Documentation 

✅ Confidential Teacher Evaluation Form (provided during the registration process)

✅ Informal Literacy Screener (administered at Roberts Academy)

✅ Medical authorization forms (to be emailed once registration is complete)

Literacy Quest is June 16-20, 23-27.

Literacy Quest is from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 

Roberts Academy will partner with Mount de Sales Academy’s SPLASH Camp. For an additional fee, Literacy Quest campers will be transported to MDS to eat lunch and participate in afternoon activities from 1:00-3:30 PM, with the option to stay for aftercare from 3:30-5:30 p.m.

  • SPLASH Camp is an additional $100
  • All afternoon activities take place at Mount de Sales Academy.
  • Students will be picked up from Mount De Sales.

Any struggling readers, including students who do not attend Roberts Academy, can attend Literacy Quest. 

No. While Literacy Quest is designed for struggling readers, campers do not need a diagnosis to attend. However, a Roberts Academy literacy screener is required.

After you submit your application and we receive the Confidential Teacher Evaluation form, our coordinators will review your application. We cannot begin the review process until we have received this form. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email confirmation. We will then schedule an informal screening, after which we will notify you of your student's acceptance to Literacy Quest Camp.

Yes, all students must complete an informal screening assessment prior to Literacy Quest. Screenings will take place at Roberts Academy and will be completed in about 45 minutes. 

Literacy Quest is a two week camp (10 days total).

We understand that summer is a busy season. However, it is most beneficial for campers to be able to attend both weeks. We cannot prorate for missed days.

No. The only thing your student will need to bring is a water bottle, a jacket/sweatshirt, a healthy snack, and a readiness to learn.  We will supply all the rest! However, please provide any medication your student requires to effectively learn and retain information.

Yes, parents are required to complete a medical information form during the registration process. If applicable, parents must also complete a medication authorization form, allergic reaction care plan form, asthma care plan form, and diabetes care plan form.
