Give your child the confidence to read at Roberts Academy’s Literacy Quest Academic Summer Camp!

Designed for rising 2nd-6th graders who need extra reading support, this 10-day academic enrichment camp uses the proven Orton-Gillingham Approach to strengthen literacy skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Morning sessions: Engaging, research-based instruction to boost reading and math skills

Afternoon adventures: Exclusive partnership with nearby Mount de Sales Academy’s Splash Camp for exciting activities (optional).

Required Documentation to Submit With Application/Registration


✅ Documentation that demonstrates a deficit in reading, phonics, spelling, or writing (Examples of approved documentation: IEP; 504; educational psychological evaluation; EIP progress report; school administered literacy screener)

✅ Unassisted writing sample in student's handwriting (prompt provided)

✅ Permission slip to interact with school therapy dogs

✅ A copy of the student's most recent report card

Note: A confidential teacher evaluation form will be sent to each registrant's teacher after the registration form is completed.

Afternoon S.P.L.A.S.H Camp

Roberts Academy will partner with Mount de Sales Academy’s SPLASH Camp. For an additional fee, Literacy Quest campers will be transported to MDS to eat lunch and participate in afternoon activities from 1:00-3:30 p.m., with the option to stay for aftercare from 3:30-5:30 p.m. NOTE: Families must register for SPLASH Camp separately here.

Yes! Roberts Academy will partner with Mount de Sales Academy’s SPLASH Camp. Any struggling readers, including students who do not attend Roberts Academy, can attend Literacy Quest. However, all registrants must provide documentation of literacy deficit. 

No. While Literacy Quest is designed for struggling readers, campers do not need a diagnosis to attend. 

Registration is complete once the online application is submitted, all necessary documentation is uploaded, and Academy receives the confidential teacher evaluation form. 

Literacy Quest is a two week camp (10 days total).

We understand that summer is a busy season. However, it is most beneficial for campers to be able to attend both weeks. We cannot prorate for missed days.

No. The only thing your student will need to bring is a water bottle, a jacket/sweatshirt, a healthy snack, and a readiness to learn.  We will supply all the rest! However, please provide any medication your student requires to effectively learn and retain information.

Yes, parents are required to complete a medical information form during the registration process. If applicable, parents must also complete a medication authorization form, allergic reaction care plan form, asthma care plan form, and diabetes care plan form.
